Sectional systems leak at a joint about every 10 feet. We roll-form .027 or .032 K-style aluminum on-site to the run length, hang it on hidden hangers, and seal miters with tri-polymer—not more splice tabs.
Box-store 10-foot sections are cheap at the register and expensive on clay soil. Every splice is a future leak. Paint hides it until the fascia bubbles. Seamless coil is not magic metal. It is one trough per run with miters only at corners. Those miters get sealant. Mid-run joints do not exist.
